Bath Bomb Recipe
Makes 4 bath bombs (using 2 3/8” diameter molds)
Dry ingredients by weight:
8oz baking soda
4oz corn starch
4 oz citric acid
4 oz sea salt
1 tsp ground ginger
Wet ingredients by volume:
4 tsp witch hazel distillate
4 tsp extra virgin olive oil
40 drops eucalyptus essential oil
40 drops rosemary essential oil
Optional: 6 drops green liquid food coloring
Use a digital scale to measure baking soda, corn starch, citric acid and sea salt into a large glass bowl. Add 1 tsp of ground ginger and whisk thoroughly.
Add witch hazel, olive oil, essential oils and food colouring to a glass measuring cup and whisk to combine.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, pouring slowly to minimize reaction. Use gloved hands to mix together, evenly distributing moisture.
Fill each half of your bath bomb molds, packing the mixture in firmly and filling to just barely overflow.
Press each half together tightly and then remove one half of the mold and gently place bomb on parchment or waxed paper. Remove the remaining mold half and leave to dry overnight.
Once completely dry, store bath bombs in an airtight container until ready to use.
TIP: You can also use silicon muffin trays or holiday ornament balls as molds
Hope these bombs soothe your body and help you breathe easy!
