DIY Shaving Cream

While most conventional shaving creams contain synthetic foaming agents and artificial fragrances, this natural version has castile soap to create lather and kaolin clay for a closer shave. Rosemary and lavender essential oils add an invigorating scent and help to soothe the skin.

I created SO many versions of this shaving cream when I was testing for Clean Eating Magazine and would diligently apply them to different parts of my leg for comparison. #1 inside of my right leg, #2 outside of my right leg, . . . this went on for weeks! It was a pain, but I'm so glad I did because this recipe was the clear winner. I really love the addition of the clay and the honey to soften the skin and create a smooth shave. Hope you like it too!
